The Island of Curaçao
The most peaceful island you will ever visit.
I DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Curaçao is actually the first trip where I did absolutely nothing. The energy and environment were so peaceful and we loved every single thing about it. All we did was eat, pool, sleep, dance and repeat. It was the perfect girls’ trip for hard-working women who wanted to relax and enjoy the scenery.
THINGS TO KNOW
Taxi services charge $20, even if you are going 5min down the road (one way)
Rent a car if you will be Beach hopping - it’s way cheaper than calling a car.
The Island is small and everything is close together within a 5-15min drive.
The bus is cheaper it’s $3 per person/per trip. Don’t let them play you because one driver played us like we were dumb!
They speak 5 languages in Curacao - Papiamentu, Dutch, French, Spanish, and English
Almost everyone you encounter can speak 3/5 languages! It’s actually pretty impressive.
Activity: Curacao is surrounded by water so there are a lot of water activities like snorkeling, jet skiing or swimming with turtles and so on! Try to book online because once you get there, the prices spike up because you are a tourist.
Activity: ATV adventure tour and there’s a popular bridge people take pictures at.
Activity: They also have a fun party boat/yacht/catamaran! Look up Klein Curacao - We ended up making some friends who had a boat and they took us on a ride so we didn’t have to pay.
Activity: The island is known for its wonderful beaches, so be sure to visit them. They also have a lot of beach parties as well and if you are lucky they might play hip-hop music all night.
NOTE: There is not much to do on the island so if you are coming to be on an adventure and do so many activities then Curacao is not the place to serve you.
